Warm Home Discount
You could get £150 off your electricity bill for winter 2024 to 2025 under the Warm Home Discount Scheme. The money is not paid directly to you, instead it is taken off your electricity bill between November and March.
You may qualify for the discount on your gas bill instead, if your energy supplier provides both types of fuel to your property and you meet the eligibility criteria.
To qualify for this discount, you must be either -
- in receipt of the guaranteed credit element of pension credit
- on a low income

British Gas Energy Trust
If you are struggling with money and energy debt, British Gas Energy Trust are an independent charitable trust set up to support families and individuals who are struggling to pay their bills across England. No matter which energy company you are with. British Gas Energy Trust can help with the following -
- energy debt programme – awarding grants to households that remove energy debt and fund emergency fuel credit
- advice services in local communities providing free 1-2-1 money, benefits, and energy efficiency advice to help make sure you are getting the support and benefits you may be entitled to.
