Warm Home Discount
The Warm Home Discount Scheme reopens in October 2024.
It is a one-off payment of £150 which your electricity supplier adds to your bill automatically if you are eligible. You do not receive a direct payment. You do not need to apply for the scheme.
Priority Services Register
The Priority Services Register is a free support service that makes sure extra help is available to people in vulnerable situations.
You are eligible for this service if you -
- are disabled or have a long-term medical condition
- are pregnant or have young children
- are recovering from an injury
- have a hearing or sight condition
- have a mental health condition
- struggle to speak or read English well
- have poor or no sense of smell
- have reached your state pension age
- need to use medical equipment that requires a power supply
- would struggle to answer the door or ask for help in an emergency
If you think you should be added to the Priority Services Register you need to contact your network operator for electricity, gas, and water.

Humberside Fire and Rescue take referrals and requests for home visits relating to fire prevention in the home. If you do not have working smoke alarms in your home, contact the Humberside Fire and Rescue.

Water
WaterSure is a scheme that helps people with their water bills. To be eligible, residents must be in receipt of benefits and need to use a lot of water for medical reasons or because their household has a certain number of school age children. You need to apply to your water company for this scheme.
